"This is an accurate and reasonable assessment of where we find ourselves. We now face an escalating series of global crises. Trump has shattered the world's economic and security architecture. Our adversaries see how weakened we are. Only days ago, he threatened to end Persian civilization, then seemingly acceded, on the same day, to all of Iran's demands. The headlines have moved on. But we can't. The world is now exceptionally dangerous and destabilized. Trump won't get better: The deterioration only goes in one direction. We can't survive what's coming in the next 2.5 years with a dementing madman at the helm. Congress must somehow be made to understand that they can't put it off. They *will* be forced to remove him. The question is how much more damage they'll let him do first."
