Yes, you’re right. I was thinking of a wider platform, but it seems that the story of bari Weiss’s perfidy has spread throughout the media and made so many folks anxious about what the story would have revealed .
Then the reporter, [Sharyn Alfonsi] made a very good point: “If the administration’s refusal to participate becomes a valid reason to spike a story, we have effectively handed them a ‘kill switch’ for any reporting they find inconvenient.”
All extremes are ominous. We can’t become a nation that wow’s to a king’s whim. But we also need to be cautious about becoming so laissez fair that we have the freedoms of some infringing in the freedoms of others.
